As a Systems Administrator, you will be a key member of OPNET's IT team supporting the IT infrastructure for the entire enterprise. You must have broad experience with a variety of technologies and must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Teamwork and a positive attitude are a must. Some of the primary responsibilities will include: Solaris/Linux server administration, firewall and VPN management, management of backup systems, and user support.
Qualifications
Here's what you should bring to the table:
* BA or BS degree with 3+ years of experience as a systems administrator
* Strong Unix skills especially with Solaris and Linux
* Experience with Clearcase administration
* Experience managing firewalls using Checkpoint NG software
* Good understanding of RAID technologies with hands-on experience managing large storage arrays
* Good understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols
* Ability to configure Cisco switches and routers
* Experience with Network Appliance Filers and Oracle databases a plus
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Must be motivated to have an impact on our products, our company, and the state of the art
