Senior Analyst - Data Modeling

The Data Modeling Senior Analyst is responsible for defining and consistently driving the Operation Data Store (ODS), Data Warehouse (DW), Data Mart (DM), Data Quality, Integrity and Validation from strategic and tactical company initiatives. Lead and facilitate with various levels of management and stakeholders for enterprise Data Modeling projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Understand and demonstrate the principals of the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values.

•Develop, maintain and manage Data Modeling projects.

•Lead, facilitate and effectively implement all DW and DM projects for Data and Information Management department. Direct data quality, integrity and validation from Business Partners viewpoint and data access and security from security and SOX compliance.

•Direct and collaborate with business analysts/partners to identify and understand the source data systems to enable ODS, EDW and DM for reporting and analysis.

•Work on multiple projects and manage priorities to deliver projects on time.

•Develop and establish strong and effective relationship with business and support groups, Data Analysts, Data Administrators and reporting team to effectively deliver the reporting and analysis.

•Drive process improvement, revenue enhancements and cost reduction projects.

•Provide direction and support to analysts on an as needed basis. Assist analysts as needed to expedite projects.

•Comply with policies and procedures as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/MIS or equivalent required. Masters Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field preferred.

•Experience: Minimum two to five years experience in defining, designing and implementing ODS, OLAP, EDW and DM. Two to five years experience with SQL, DM and BI tools.

•Language/Communication/Interpersonal: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent presentation skills in one-on-one and small group situations to business partners, vendors and others. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of organization. Proficiency to convert technical information into user friendly business and simple terminology. Competency to work with diverse groups.

•Analytical: Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and project management. Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills. Excellent problem resolution and logical and algorithm thinking.

•Technical: Proficient in using Modeling tools, COGNOS is preferred. Experience with DW, DM, Data Modeling, OLAP, Star Schema. Proficient with SQL. Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Six Sigma principles, Project Management, Meta Data and SOX principles. Understanding of BI analysis and reporting is preferred.

•Supervisory: Ability to assist analysts as needed to expedite projects.

•Other: Understanding of analysis and reporting, triggers and events notifications platforms/packages for multiple business partners preferred.

Certificates, Licenses
•Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is preferred
•COGNOS Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) is preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) and Six Sigma is preferred
