Testing and Estimating Engineer
Montvale, NJ
Salary $50++
We have an exciting opportunity for a testing and estimating engineer to work with a new innovative product positioned to rock the world of construction and materials!
Over the next 12 months you will be managing all aspects of a comprehensive national testing program related to materials used in construction projects. Responsibilities will including directing and scheduling activities of various national testing agencies, compiling and organizing test results, and presenting on progress and results to senior management. As our firm grows, you will take on responsibility for estimating quantities of concrete material incorporated in construction drawings and specifications for target sales projects; compiling costs of the construction project based on historical cost data; present estimating results to outside parties such as engineers, architects, general contractors, subcontractors and owners. You will be working in an office environment but also visiting construction work sites.
Qualifications:
Four-year college degree in civil engineering, construction management, building construction, concrete construction or similar is preferable.
Two years experience in estimating, project engineering, field supervision or purchasing is desirable. Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems and concrete trade practices.
Excellent oral and written skills required.
Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft office suite programs.
Knowledge of Timberline or other estimating software programs desirable.
Able to climb stairs and ladders.
Able to lift or move up to 75lbs.
