Hello,
I am the Director of recruiting for a local IT recruiting firm. Our globally spanned local client is looking for a Data Architect to work on a 6-month contract to hire opportunity in St. Charles, MO. Here is a brief job description:
• Perform data management for information systems in conformance with data policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
• Conduct impact assessments on information systems to determine application integration potential and compatibility with the corporate architecture.
• Work with the business community, application development teams and other personnel to ensure quick responses to all data architecture related inquiries.
• Provide technical assistance related to data administration.
• Participate in the conceptual design/redesign of data base systems and logical models for use in business systems engineering. Must have experience with Erwin and Power Designer
• Position requires an undergraduate degree and at least three years experience in Data Architecture/Data Administration.
• Relational database experience – Oracle
• Good knowledge of Structured Query Language
• Significant experience in logical modeling, IE Methodology and CASE tools
• Strong analysis skills both in data composition and modeling.
• Development and deployment of policies and procedures on data-related activities such as data integrity, data quality, data security, data inventory, data standards, data sharing and data repository
• Assistance to Database Administration with schema implementation scripts and technical procedures such as change control, impact analysis, backup and recovery, integrity checks, etc., for preserving the integrity and security of the data resources.
