Job Description:

ITs a network Logo
 This position will be responsible for maintaining the oracle database and associated applications as well as managing external interfaces to the databases. This position will also require both technical level experience and the ability to interface with all levels of users (both internal and external). This position will require user support and training as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Support and maintain Oracle databases, applications and external interfaces
• Support and maintain the Oracle Automated Storage Manager (ASM) instances
• System tuning, performance monitoring, and database maintenance
• Shell script development as necessary to support the databases and external interfaces
• SQL Tuning
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Assist with application and user support when needed.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Education:
Minimum Experience: 3-5 years
Knowledge: Knowledge of Oracle database running in a Unix environment. Experience with Oracle utilities and Oracle Enterprise Manager for database development and maintenance is a plus. Experience supporting Oracle applications in a high tech environment. Experience with Oracle Real-Application Clusters (RAC) is a plus.

Analytical/Interpersonal Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self Starter, Ability to work without supervision on short term projects. Excellent Troubleshooting skills are a must in this position.
