Education/Experience:

Æ 8+ Years hands-on UNIX experience in fast paced commercial environment.
Æ Experience in planning, designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise wide UNIX based systems running mission critical client server and e-Business applications.
Æ Strong knowledge of IBM UNIX hardware, including Power3, Power4, and Power5 technologies.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
(Include required certification, technical skills, etc.)
Æ Broad understanding of UNIX operating systems including AIX and Linux.
Æ Installation, configuration, maintain, and implementation of applicable operating systems.
Æ Strong understanding of network protocols.
Æ Experience with the implementation and administration of HACMP Clusters.
Æ Experience of relational database such as Oracle and DB2.
Æ Understanding the concepts associated with the governance of open systems security.
Æ Demonstrated expertise with SUN, Intel, and IBM servers.
Æ Familiarity with TSM backup and recovery solutions.
Æ Tivoli monitoring product expertise.
Æ Understanding of EMC Clarion/DMX SAN technologies.
Æ Strong scripting skills.
Æ Understanding the philosophies of operating system performance tuning.
Æ Strong understanding of files systems and concepts.
Æ Experience with SSH protocols.
Æ Experience with Bind.
Æ Perl programming.
Æ Strong trouble shooting skills.
Æ Solid verbal and written communications skills.
Æ Superior customer relation skills.
Æ Project management skills.
Æ Implementation and support and multi-platform system integration.
