TITLE: SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
WORK LOCATION: IRVINE, CA 92618
SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Must have MOM, Active Directory, Windows Servers (NT/2000/2003), Microsoft SMS, Install Shield, Windows Scripting, MS Exchange, MS Cluster Services and Configuration, SAN, NAS
The initial focus will be MOM until it is developed. The consultant will however fall into the standard Sr. Admin role, so proficiency in AD, SMS, various hardware platforms etc. is desired. Must be strong with MOM 2005 rule creation and administration.
OVERVIEW: Provides and demonstrates excellent customer service to the client. Scope includes Personal Computer and server hardware, software, operating systems, utilities, networks, and data communications. Assists IT staff and end-users with technical problems and implementations. Escalates issues to supervisor within recommended timeframes. Serves as third level support and the Client’s end point for trouble resolution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
MICROSOFT OPERATIONS MANAGER:
•Supported Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 (MOM)
•Configuration and administration of server environment with Microsoft Operations Manager 2005
•Monitor and resolve alert events in MOM \
SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
•Establishes and maintains documented standards in order to deliver, operate, and maintain Personal Computer and server hardware, software, operating systems, utilities, networks, and data communications. Monitors server and application performance following regimented guidelines. Identifies issues, analyzes the best course of action, and implements steps for resolution.
•Analyzes and resolves Personal Computer and network system related Service Requests and Trouble Tickets within the prescribed service levels.
•Works with project support staff, other IT staff and/or departments, or third party vendor to resolve any problems, implement solutions, and collaborate on project activity. Builds project task plans and consistently meets committed delivery dates.
•Communicates status as required by set guidelines.
•Collaborates with team members to ensure cross training occurs on supported systems.
•Produces documentation in order to establish standards and provide training for less experienced staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Require proficient knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems, Microsoft Exchange, and Veritas Netbackup.
•Desire strong knowledge of Microsoft IIS, SMS, and MOM.
•Working knowledge of E-commerce infrastructure and its dependent technologies is a plus.
•Two-year degree in the computer technology field or equivalent work experience required.
•Minimum three to four years enterprise client support experience with a minimum of two to three years supporting network clients required.
•Formal certification in a major network O.S. at the Engineer level and significant knowledge of multiple operating systems preferred.
•Proficient knowledge of personal computer architecture, memory, communication ports, peripherals, software, and networks including servers, driver configurations, frame types, and protocols.
•Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds of personal computer and server equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
•Good oral, presentation, and written communications skills.
•Highly reliable attendance performance under very demanding hours/days and on-call requirements.
